She sails equally beautifully in the river and out at sea. Handles the swell and the WA wind because she was built for it! The 19hp Volvo motor although light is powerful enough to qualify as a motor sailer and makes going under the bridges against the tide and a howling wind very easy with hardy any loss of boat speed - as does powering into a foul headwind and chop to get back home quickly if necessary.
She is rigged for shorthand sailing with Profurl furler, stack pack and lazy jacks with all sheets coming back to the cockpit. She has a professionally fitted mast lowering system with special bracket to which poles stay attached as does the block and tackle. There is a separate light weight spinnker pole. Wobble stoppers feed back to cockpit winches which makes mast lowering very easy and very safe. Although there are three self furling headsails with UV strips, the 1.5 Tasker triradial cruising laminate headsail with foam luff performs very well in all conditions. Standing and running rigging all professionally checked and partially replaced end of 2011 and mast lowering system, lazy jacks, stack pack, 1.5 Tasker headsail, windows and cushions made/installed late 2011/early 2012.
